Hi All, Myself and partner will hopefully be holidaying (subject to travel restrictions) in Pinar de Campoverde in late June to early August 2021.

I will be flying over, and my partner will be driving a van from UK to bring our motorcycles over for the duration (apologies in advance for noise as we both have Harleys). Can you enlighten us on the following:

Would 6 weeks be regarded as a holiday?

Would we need to pay/adapt/carry anything on the bikes or UK van?

I have 90 day travel/medical insurance will this suffice?

Is there anywhere in local area to park large van?

Anything else we should know?

We have been many times to Pinar de Campoverde as my Sister and her husband have a villa there, but not since Brexit.

Hi.

All you need to carry with you is licence, insurance and log books, it's a good idea to carry your break down cover.

six weeks is a holiday so no worries there.

Park your van outside the villa.

90 day travel/medical insurance is enough.

The only thing I'd say is that, for me it can be to hot in July/August to ride. I only ride of evening in July/August and occasionally will pop into Pilar on the bike during the day, but I've turned into one of the muppets I hated when I was in the UK, T shirt and shorts for the short ride into Pilar, sorry. Even then I sometimes find it uncomfortable.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately we can't park outside villa as yellow lines.

Not sure we will ride in shorts though, but we know what you mean

How big is the van? Large transit type or 7.5 tonne? If it's just a large van just park as close as you can, without annoying the neighbours to much :)
