Is it possible to De register our residency by ourselves? If so how do we go about it

You use the EX-18 residencia application form, but tick the Baja por cese box and give the reason. I don't know for sure, but think the only supporting info you would need is passport to prove ID and a copy of that.

Other things you need to do are tell Hacienda, using Modelo 030 section 5; do a baja from the padron; and if you're keeping your bank account, then tell the bank to change it to a non-residents account.

Our accountant is sorting our tax out for us .

Sorry, Carol, very busy and very little time to spend on forum. I should have added that you can also do the payment Modelo 790 online:

I'm assuming that the EX-18 processing fee is the same for whatever purpose you do the EX-18 - there's nothing to say to the contrary.
