I have used trusted house sitters twice.  Both for periods of a month.  I was dissappointed twice.  The carers munched their way through the freezer, never cut the grass, never watered the plants.  Sadly next time I will have to use them again as options are limited.  All I can do is leave an empty fridge and freezer.  I am sure they are all like this.  or are they????

Trusted house sitters are "free" also.I check the references.  Trouble is there are never bad references.. I always ask for proof of residence and never accept people from Australia the US or Argentina etc. .  You cannot go and thump on a door of someone who lives in Cambodia can you.I also neve have someone from "down the road" either.  I have 5 dogs and I want someone wiith them nearly allo of the time.  Someone too local must be tempted to see to  their own lives more than yours.  These are my opinions.  Others will have different.
