Can anyone clarify when the travel ban between all municipalities within the Valencia province officially started and will finish please.

I’m aware that the restriction date may have to be (or has been) extended.

I think the 7 day travel restriction started on 30/10/20. There also appears to be some restrictions lasting for 14 days. Am I correct?

Thanks

Hi Bill,

The perimetral restriction that Comunidad Valenciana (and all but 2 of the autonomous regions) put in place to prevent movement between regions during the All Saints' Day celebrations was due to end on 9 November.  However, our regional president, Ximo Puig, announced yesterday that this had been extended to 13 November.

There are no restrictions between the 3 provinces of Alicante, Valencia and Castellon, but there are municipal restrictions in Elche, Orihuela City and around the Orihuela health district.  The measures also include the perimeter closure of Elda and Petrer, as their contagion levels were high before the 1 November weekend closures.  I'm trying to establish whether these municipal restrictions were also extended from 9 November to 13 November.

Thankfully, while Puig announced capacity restrictions on the bars and restaurants in our region, we're not subject to the full closure put in place in Murcia.

The last update on Generalitat Valenciana's website was yesterday, 6 November, so worth keeping an eye on this, although we may see nothing further until nearer the 13th:

https://www.gva.es/es/inicio/area_de_prensa/not_detalle_area_prensa?id=901086

Kind regards,

Kim

Good Morning Bill11,

We are in Petrer and have been told there is a local restriction and we must stay inside Petrer and Elda and not allowed to travel out. This took effect on midnight Friday 6th November and is in place for 14 days. You may have something similar but you can only travel into our area for special reasons which I believe is basically work, food or medical.

Its being enforced by the police and we have been told to carry residenca or Padron as proof if you are stopped.

Sorry to be the messenger of bad news.

Warren.

Hi Warren,

Many thanks for this.

I have an appointment at a garage in Elda to modify my UK vehicle rear fog lights to comply with the Spanish regulations (ITV).

Guess this will have to be cancelled/postponed.

Regards

Bill

Hello Bill,

It maybe possible for the garage to collect it, maybe speak to them?

Everything is open as normal.

Kind regards,

Warren.

Hello Bill

This is what I read on Valencia’s website

Valencia.  The president  Ximo Puig, announced this Friday the extension of the perimeter closure of the Valencian Community for 7 days and that of the municipalities of Elda and Petrer for 14 days, quote "to face the health emergency, protect the health of the  population and try to get out of this complicated situation together. "

The head of the Consell, who has stressed the need to take measures quote "from serenity and common sense", recalled the validity of the restriction of night mobility until December 9, between 12 at night and 6  in the morning, and has advanced new measures to limit capacity.

Hope tha helps
