New Airport
Hi, was wondering if any one has been to the new airport yet. If so, what was the journey like?

Super helpful member
Surface transport to/from Corvera airport ist still unclear and confusing. No reliable bus timetables are available, and after taxi drivers made almost no business at all, what can one expect. Perhaps as the local newspaper reported "More dogs than planes".
Still early days for the new Airport, many of the Airlines that will be using it do not have flights at this time of year. I checked the Airport website and there seems to be only three arrivals and departures today ( 20/01/2019 ) by Easyjet ( Gatwick ) and Ryanair ( Luton and Stansted ). There also seems to be a lot of confusion on what is the best route to take from the La Zenia area and I have heard complaints about parking at the Airport.

We went for a dummy run to the new airport on Friday from Campoamor golf. Great signposting all the way there. Took 45 minutes dead.
Airport is similar to the San Javier one but larger and new. Loads of car parking. Spacious inside.
I'm flying from there on 7th Feb so look forward to see what it's like airside.

I have done this journey twice now,the easiest route is straight up the RM 19 from St Javier passed Balsicas, head towards Murcia then double back on yourself for about 2 km , follow airport signs. It's quick and easy.
Parking there is easy too, at the moment the barriers are up and no charge but don't know how long that is going on for. The Car Park is literally the other side of the road to the terminal.Long stay parking is already in place too.
I don't know why anyone is complaining.
The main problem is that there are virtually no facilities inside lol

Yes, the facilities are somewhat lacking, but hopefully it will grow. I noticed they were working on a W H Smith newsagent when we were there. As i said in my original post, i haven't been airside yet, so maybe there is more there.
