I have a quote to replace a section of solarium wall with new tiles, and to erect a boundary wall, prepare and tile the front of house patio area.  Solarium about 10sq meters and the patio area 26 sq meters.  Length of block wall, short section of glass wall and a gate.  Total quote just over €11,500.   Sounds high to me, but I’m new to this in Spain so…?  What do you guys think?

Sounds very high to me as well.

Always ask for an itemized quote which includes the timescale for the work, this way you can price the materials yourself and get an idea of what they are charging for labour and always get several quotes, 3 minimum.

I would suggest you get a min of 3 quotes for the same work from 3 separate contractors. You will then be able to assess the different quotes once you receive them.

Asking for comments on a single quote on this forum seems a little pointless, sorry to say. There may be site circumstances such as access, proximity of neighbours, or other site restrictions that have an impact on any quote and any members responses wouldn't take any of these into consideration.

I would change my question to 'can anyone recommend a couple of alternative builders capable if this level if work.'

Good luck

Make sure your quote includes the necessary licence and ensure the licence is in place before works commence.
