What's the view on north v south facing properties? Are north facing so much colder than south in the coldest winter months? Any comparative data would be greatly appreciated.

We live in a South Facing property in a Square. In July and August, we are fortunate to have a covered porch as it is too hot to sit out, but the other 10 months of the year are lovely - especially December through to March, when we are in t-shirts and shorts during the day, while our neighbours opposite are wearing jeans and jumpers. It really is that much of a difference. Personally, I am happy to put up with 2 months of heat, in order to enjoy the other 10 months of the year and the benefits of winter sun. But of course, it all comes down to personal choice. Hope you get sorted.
