Hola I am trying to pay my property tax but I have not been in Spain since February due to a 5 day stay in hospital in March  and continued ill health. Unfortunately I don't have the current bill.  In view of my poor health and the Pandemic I have to stay in the UK at present. - When I attempt to pay with the past bill the site informs me that I am out of time to pay that way. I have phoned the tax office but they informed me that I cannot pay by Direct Debit or Bank Transfer.

Can anyone advise please as to how I can pay this bill. I'm unable to get to Spain at present and don't know anyone who can pay the bill for me. I didn't realise that there's limited time for setting up a Direct Debit. I've phoned SUMA but I'm unable to pay on the links they send through.

Thanks for your help. I am feeling a bit desperate at present but too scared to get a flight over.

She was terrible when I bought the house 2 years ago.. I had no knowledge of buying property in Spain or how to instruct a lawyer there. So I was alone and fumbling in the dark. I used a lawyer who did a talk at A place in the sun Exhibition. He was also based in Malaga which caused problems.

looks like I may have to hire a lawyer to get it sorted.

Thanks for your reply.

Hi thanks for posting this we have not long completed on our apartment our solicitor advised us to pay the Suma manually in case the previous owners had stopped the direct debit as she had already taken our half due from their final balance

She said it’s better to have paid twice rather than getting fines for late payment
