Good morning all,We are about to take possession of our new holiday home within the next week or so.We are not sure if water and electricity have been disconnected or are still on .What we are looking for with the forums help is 2 things. If utilities are still connected do we just take over the account if it’s paid up to date. And if it’s disconnected how to we go about sorting that..also any recommendations on what companies we should use .many thanks john.

You have to have contracts for supply in your name, your solicitor should arrange this.

Hello

Looking for an easy / best water utility for apartment in entre naranjos. Help anyone? I have heard they now pop a meter on? What are some names of water utilities please?

When we purchased our home the lawyer who turned out not to be a lawyer carried on ours with Iberolla ... we got a massive bill but through this forum we found out there were 3 tarrifs obviously she chose the highest so she could get a slice of the pie as she did with other things ie health insurance we didn’t need .... We are on plan noche which means your electricity is half price between 10pm to 10am it has worked for us as our bills have halfed 😊

Hope this helps

Les

Thanks Les I appreciate it - do you mind me asking roughly what does that look like monthly for you so I have an idea?

Sorry about your experience too - so sad people do that.

Many thanks

Usually 80 euro a month but we live here permanently in January  it was 120 Euro it was a good bit colder ...I think you pay a water charge too not sure how much don’t leave water running 😊

Hope this helps 😊 we love 💖 living here so a big welcome ....
