Bus service in rojales

If you're staying in Rojales you really need a car. Buses are few and far between and not very reliable. Also the one where you are going may not have one that comes back in a certain time and you'd end up spending just 30 minutes or 6 hours to catch one back.

If you can manage to get through the soul-numbing delays on the site, search my previous posts, where from memory, there is only 1 bus daily (mon-fri) at 11am, in the morning To Torrevieja, and 1 in the evening at 5.00pm from Torrevieja

The ayuntamiento has in the last couple of weeks provided this image of bus services in Rojales.

On the subject of buses, I see plenty of bus shelters around but buses are conspicuous by their absence!! Only skeletons on benches waiting for the bus that never comes!! Lived in this area for years and I that time no decent bus service has existed. If you don't drive or don't  have a car you are stuck! This lack of transport is primitive. We pay our Sums ,where is there a reliable bus service that every town should have. Quesada is growing at a terrific rate, no decent parking facilities either, they do not consider people on foot at all! Taxis ok but not that reasonable in price and can't be sure you can get one back home!!! Good luck. Maybe hire a bike or a rental car or a hot air balloon 🎈!!!

The bus shelters you mention are on the school bus routes. 

Apart from the market bus the only actual bus stop in Quesada is at the arches.  I’ve seen the bus drop into Quesada even as recently as yesterday, but there’s very few people who actually use the service that’s available. Running a bus around the urbanisation has been tried and tested and consequently scrapped because it wasn’t used.  

The bus stop in Rojales has a fairly frequent service running through to Guardamar and Orihuela. Running up to eight times a day on weekdays  I’d say that’s a pretty good service.  Buses run to the timetable even though there’s only a handful of people on them. So there’s very little point running additional services at the horrendous outlay when running services through different municipalities.
