...e limit that a UK registered car can be kept or used in Spain  and that the car has to be removed from Spain after some months. Some years ago , a friend  of mine had his car taken off him by the police for the car being kept in the country for too long. I believe that there are strong penalties for anyone caught driving a vehicle that should no longer be in the country and not had the registration changed over to a spanish plate, which would  not be possible for a non resident to do..I  may be wrong about this , and would be really pleased if someone could clarify the facts.
