Every week we are promised that the licence fiasco will be sorted, does anyone have more information regarding the resolving of this situation.

The situation regarding driving licence is still the same as it was. No meaningful updates recently.

On 5th Aug 2021, you posted to the effect that you had lived in Spain for 20 years. So, 20 years to meet your obligation to switch to a Spanish driving licence. For nearly all of that time, the switch was easy and cheap.

So who do you think is responsible for the "fiasco" ?

Thanks for your response, however I have a Spanish licence and had one for several years. I am asking the question for those who don't. Some have not had the opportunity to change so try and not be so sanctimonious.

Apologies Poppy, that was a bit sanctimonious.

While you are not a culprit, it seems that there are people whinging about the licence issue, who have been in Spain for ages, and who are therefore the cause of their own problem.

This problem is featured (without explanation) in some sections of the UK Press, and on the internet, adding to the general angst.

I do recognise that there are some people caught in the 2020-21/Covid issue, who have hit the brick wall through no fault of their own.
