Yes I heard a rumour that our Benidorm branch was due for a price rise, ugh! The problem is that when I go there for 4 specific items I always come out with 12 items 🤔😁

I'm due to have a trip there on Monday so if anything seems untoward I'll report back.

Steve

Its not just benidorm they will all hike up the prices now because of brexit, i used to just use dealz, masymas or Mendoza even dialprix cos they had the same things at a much cheaper price.... And are much closer haha. But now they don't and won't stock it because of the expense to get it. I try and avoid Iceland because its soooo expensive.... but I must have marmite

Why the angst over Marmite, which I agree is essential. It is stocked by every Spanish supermarket into which I have ever been, and also Carrefour which is in principle French!

Marmite??!  You people have disgusting habits!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously though, in our neck of the woods, my husband's only ever found it in Overseas and Carrefour, never a Spanish supermarket.

So I suppose you can guess who's the "Love it" and who's the "Loathe it" in our household? 😄😉

Stay safe,

Kim

Well at least we’re not desperately searching for the infinitely inferior Australian version - Vegemite, which is really foul!!!!

Only place that i have ever found it is the shops a said before which no longer stock it, its now the same as Vegemite which also only sold in iceland. But it is an essential weekly product, one jar a week atleast.... Ya could say at yeast haha

Perhaps we’re lucky then, but it is available in Spanish stores around here! But agreed, the Overseas shops are short of everything that I would want!!

Stores had absolutely no issues prior to 1st January, funny how there is no reporting on any of the U.K. news outlets of border issues. Maybe it’s because it’s only outgoing goods effected, U.K. is still allowing everything to come in with no change in requirements!
