Can anyone recommend a bank in San Miguel to transfer funds to for an apartment purchase and set up DD to pay running costs. Do any banks give free banking for a period of time?

Hi.
I am going over on the 12/6. My solicitor has informed me that to open a bank account you must have an NIE number. She will arrange this for me while I'm there. If you do not yet have a solicitor, I have found Maria Jesús by far the cheapest solicitor. Her email address is abogada@mjzaragoza.com
I'm not on commission but I believe good service should be shouted from the rooftops!! AND she speaks English.
Hope all goes well for you.

We thinking of changing our bank having been with sabadell for 10 years, finding them very expensive, and had trouble with electric bill dd there fault we had no electricity, but plenty of money in the bank to cover bills. Use another bank, as we will shortly be doing early June. We have a property near San Miguel, on urbanisation Mirador De San Miguel, gated, and community pool. Two bedroom, two bathroom, large terrace, on a corner plot, drive, garden with artificial grass and bbq area, lemon tree, olive tree. Large solarium. Soon to be put up for sale, approx sept/October because we moving onto villa Maria.

Sounds a nice place. What price will you be putting it on the market for?

Hi Tomb,
It is a lovely community with economic fees. From the bbq area and solarium there are sea, salt lake and torrevieja views. Approx two and half miles from to beaches and " la zenia boulevard." Going to get it valued when we go back next week, think it will be around the €110 to include furniture.
