Freeview is no good to you, as it's for UK terrestrial TV.
For Freesat you'll need a satellite dish.

I use Mucho on my iPad . No problems there. Back in Sydney , as I have an older tv, I use a cable to connect to the iPad.
In Spain , I have a smart LG but can’t get the casting options to work so I use the internet on the tv to sign in.
The only downside , and this may well be an LG problem , I can’t always scroll down the page. Instead I go to the iPad first, save a few programmes, then watch on the TV

If you get a android box and down load movie and iplayer and itv hub you need to down load a vpn.
