Dear Reader,
Is ther anybody who know HOW to pay in Santa pola the wastewater and garbage tax.
We became residents last year and do not know where and how to pay it and how much.
Is it possible included in the waterbill.
Do you receive a bill usually.
What activities do we have to undertake to fullfiull our tax duties.

Hi Ronald,
A quick trip down to the SUMA office in town with your IBAN number and address should resolve this. We pay ours (51 Euros) by direct debit annually after that which can be set up at the bank's ATM, Sabadell in this case. That is for rubbish / garbage. Our water bill is separate with the IBI, again DD through the SUMA annually - August time based on the catastral reference and value of the property.

Thanks, what do you mean that the direct debit AT THE BANKS ATM.
we have Sabadell but HOW can we fix a direct debit by ATM.

Hi Ronald,
Go into your branch, they are super helpful and will show you. The ATMs use a barcode system and you can set a DD up at the ATM.. You will probably see at certain times of the month elder members sticking their pension books into the machine and it chattering away...clever tech here ;-)...probably not something the UK has.
