Easy way to do it is withdraw all funds out of sabadell bank ... either by atm or transferring it to your wise account

Then call sabadell to close account.

I closed mine last year ...I made my balance at sabadell to zero then went into bank to close account was told rudely that couldn't close it in branch and that must do it via telephone

Was easy enough to do via phone also

Hi

Re DDs - yes. Probably the easiest way is to register/login to your utility providers website - in there you will find your account details, including your IBAN. Simply change the IBAN to that provided by Wise (it will begin with "BE" for Belgium).

But if you're with Hidraqua for your water - they are a bit of a pain! You'll have to message them or visit your local office.

Cheers

Steve

Email Katrin Schulz at the bank if you want. She speaks perfectly good English . I’m pretty sure she’s still at the Santa pola office

With Wise you can open accounts in different currencies, if you open a sterling account it will have a UK IBAN, if you open a euro account it will have a Belgian IBAN. I have both a sterling and a euro account, when in Spain I use the euro account.
