If you keep a uk car in spain you will have to drive it back to uk every year for mot .its a no brainer buy spanish reg

Thanks that’s good to know , I been reading on google and was unsure if you could leave a uk one or not .

A UK car cannot be kept for over 6 months and has to be road legal in UK to use in Spain, how can you Mot à car if it is not in UK, an ITV is not accepted. Buy a car in Spain, one with left hand drive, it is dangerous to use a RHD car and get an annual car parking contract, we have used ascars for 15 years, never had any issue

Hi, we have just driven our 15year old well looked after uk reg car to Spain recently after deciding hire cars are too expensive in the long term. We used Car Registrations Spain to do all the paperwork to convert it to Spanish registration. I would recommend them very highly they kept us informed during every step of the process, very helpful and efficient. We are non residents.

Instead of reading items on Google why not switch to the N332 website?   It is for English speaking people and deals with anything to do with driving in Spain.   It is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on it.

Just spoke with Eco Parking at Alicante Airport, you can leave a UK registered car with them. In his words they don't mind whether its a spanish car or not. Neither do they mind if it's LHD or RHD

Eco will happily take it. What I meant was that if you leave a UK in Spain then it would need to go back to the UK once a year for its MOT. Not sure about insurance either.
