We have a little Daystar 125 motorbike, which is too small for the main moto clubs that we have found so far. We would like to find others with small bikes or scooters for local social rides and meetings.

What makes you think a 125 is too small?

Been a biker all my life, usually 1200cc BMWs. I'm more than happy to talk with even kids on mopeds.

Bikes is bikes is bikes.

I used to have a Yamaha Dragstar 1100cc for many years, I used it for all my ride outs. However I also had a Honda CG125 which I loved riding to work and into our local town.

The bike in the picture looks great and I'm sure you would be made welcome in the local clubs.

Have you tried the Costa Blanca Rawhiders MCC ?

Steve, they specify minimum 500cc to join. A strange rule, but their club they can do what they like

Ah, that's a shame and not good.

I used to be treasurer of the UK Eagles MCC for several years and we welcomed anyone who had a bike!! Had some great times on the bikers rallies too........😉

I think sometimes people talk the talk but don't want to walk the walk (although they want to look like they do), if you know what I mean 😉

Yes, I did look at the Rawhiders.  They have a minimum engine size of 500cc.

Bikes is bikes is bikes.

Only that the clubs that I have found have a minimum engine size requirement.

Perhaps try not to get hung up on clubs, there are certain connotations connected with that word in the bike world.

There's a group on Facebook called something like "great fun on small bikes" and I noticed one post from someone in Barcelona. It might be worth joining that group and enquiring.

Another thought would be scooter groups, I seem to remember one around the Altea area. That's assuming that the scooter groups aren't as dismissive of others as the Rawhides are!

Again, Facebook would be the place to start.

There will be people out there, you just have to find them.

Edit.

Another thought, try searching for Spanish groups too. I've found them very friendly and a good way to improve language skills. There's a history of social riding here that still prevails and in my experience they're not sniffy about who you are and what you ride

Look for Motoclub or if you see adverts for matinal.

Good luck

Well, as a bike fan, large or small, (currently 1200cc BMW), I started out on 75cc BSA Diana scooter when I was 16. (Now 70)

I would absolutely NOT join any club with a 'minimum engine size' restriction.

Sounds like a right bunch of tossers.

I'll bet they'll wear leather Stupid faux German helmets with eagles on, pointy boots and sunglasses inside.

Colloquially among *real* bikers as 'Harley Handbags'.

They usually wobble when they come to a bends and go round like a thruppenny bit. Probably just took the stabilizers off.

Best avoided. screw 'em.

Norm.

PS Nothing wrong with Harleys or Harley riders. (Just sayin'...)
