Hi its Dan55 again. Thanks for all your posts, I would like to explain what I hope to do when my wife and I retire. We have recently purchased a static caravan which is being payed for by a property that we own and are renting out which will help pay towards the caravan yearly site fees, gas, electric, insurance etc. We are looking to spend the summer months at the site then some winter time in Spain. We are hoping to buy a property in the SP area and would like to spend time there in December, January, February returning to the UK at Christmas for a couple of weeks to spend with our grandchildren, then returning to Santa Pola for the month of June. We would like to rent out the property in July, August and after if possible, but before this the advice given to rent for 3 months to see if its right for us seems a good idea which I think we will do. I realise we would need a permanent address as this could give problems down the line, healthcare, post, electoral etc. Is there anyone out there that has done similar or is hoping to do the same, any help and advice would be great. Many thanks Dan55.

If you intend to rent out a property here, you will need a tourist licence, not difficult to get but very time consuming.

Regards,

Mark.

Santa Pola is a great place. We have a place in La Marina and visit it regularly. We often talk about living there when we get older. A fantastic place for walking and cycling.

I have a two bed apartment for rent, if you fancied a try before you buy over the winter period.

Drop me a line in a pm.

Mark.
