CORREOS SANTA POLA NEAR TO GRAN PLAYA

Hi Everybody,

Since last year march or a bit later we did not receive ANY mail from the CORREOS.

We expect important mail from The Netherlands.

The institution has send that mails several times to our adress.

Several times it returned to the Netherlands.

WE were sending some important mail REGISTERED from Santa Pola postoffice.

After 9 WEEKS it arrived totaly crumbled in The Netherlands.

Questions

1.Does anybody living in our area receives mail

2.How is the experience with SENDING mail

3. How to SOLVE this problem. Postbox maybe.

The problems might be related to corona or internal Correos problems...

We have had the same problem with Correos for at least 2 years, replacement debit and credit cards issued by Bankinter never arrived, cards and letters from the UK forget it they just never get delivered.

I have made my thoughts on this company very plain on this forum previously, in a nutshell they are an absolute disgrace. If you ever have to go to a Correos post office that is a whole new level of hell.

We gave up and rented a mail box at The Post Shop in Villamartin €75 per year worth every euro, we can also get our online shopping purchases delivered there saves having to wait in.

We live in Santa Pola. What IS a POST SHOP.

Is a Post Shop run by people with a sense of service with a smile.

I have to find out if I can find a so called Post Shop in Santa Pola ...

We have no own means of transport so taking a postbox in another town is not so practical.

Do you think taking a postbox in the Correos in Santa Pola would help.

I think it would help if it is sure that our mail from Holland at leasat arrives into the Correos in Santa Pola.

That would mean that we could pick it up and it would also mean that the boys from the correos in Santa Pola are NOT able to deliver post at the right adress. This could well be the case. I cannot publicly express any doubts about the cognitive abilities of the government post officers..

And yet our experience of Correos is completely different. We rent an Apartado in our nearest small town, anything for collection/signing etc is advised by a note in the box. The overworked assistant is always smiling and helpful, although it’s only open for transactions for an hour and a half daily. There is no possibility of any deliveries to our house n the campo, so on one occasion, when an item arrived addressed mistakenly to our house, the Correos delivery person took it to the Ajuntamiento in our village who looked us up on the Padron and rang us up to go and collect it.

My experience in a local largish town has been similar, courteous and helpful.

Well my main problem is this time not the attitude, it is the incapacity to deliver. If they would deliver without a smile, I would smile instead.
