I am currently trying to persuade my sister to VISIT me for a few days/weeks.. but she has a small dog that she doesnt want to leave, can anyone advise me on how to get her to bring her dog over and how much it costs.. what are the procedures etc.... thank you

Assuming she’s travelling from the U.K. have a look here on the official website

It’s not cheap and there’s quite a bit of preparation to do. I honestly don’t think it’s worth the cost for a few days or a few weeks.

Also the problem of how to get the dog to Spain - very minimal flights (if any) to Alicante or a long boat journey….

If it’s only for a short period, it would be far more economical to house the dog in a reputable kennel, where it will be well looked after. Either that or hire a pet sitter. The hassle of complying with all the paperwork, vaccinations etc is not only expensive, but a nuisance.
