Caixa bank

Hi can anyone help me. I have a property in Sax and used to be able to get online to look at my bank account.  Now when I try to go on and enter ID and PIN numbers, it then asks me to put another number in. What number would this relate to, is it PIN number again? Rang Caixa bank in London today and they were worse than useless. I need to check this as obviously can’t get over to Spain at moment.

I'm with Caxia and nothing whatsoever has changed with my login to their website, 8 digit user ID and 6 digit PIN, been the same for over two years, nothing to do with my mobile and never has been. 

I recently insalled their app on that to which access is by fingerprint but the two are completely separate and independant of each other.

I sometimes get a security text number sent to my mobile so I can access my account, have you checked your mobile.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, but still can’t get on. When we went into Caixa Bank last time they asked if we had a Spanish phone, but we haven’t;  guess we’ll have to get one because they don’t send us any codes. Might try calling again to see if they will send us a code anyway because they send us other texts? Just hope there’s enough money in to pay the bills. Think I will have transfer some over.

Hi I’m in a similar position - I was successfully using my mobile app with fingerprint and one day it asked for my pin - entered what I thought was my pin (3x) but that failed and I was locked out - I was directed to a recover pin page by using  card number and TIN number - I tried using my NIE number but it refuses to accept these and has directed me to my branch- clearly that’s not feasible 

I’ve emailed the branch and customer services but with no response.

If anyone has any useful guidance I would be very appreciative

Just to add to the confusion (or maybe not) I was with Banco Popular, now absorbed by Sanrtander, and they had a system whereby when you wanted to do something over and above normal transactions (perhaps changing your password or similar) you had to use what they called and Electronic Signature, which was an 8 digit number. I have since used it once with Santander and it still works. Cant remember how I acquired it, perhaps there is some information on site.

When you opened the account did you have two cards given one with a lot of numbers on? if so then the number they want is on that card, you need to line it up with the number they have put on screen, as well as you ID and Pass number, they have actaully done away with that system but I think it can still be used.

That system is now virtually obsolete. For several months Caixa have been sending increasingly voluble emails informing us that should we wish to continue making any online payments, we are required to download their app and also their separate security app ‘Caixa Bank Sign’.

its quite simple basically, one logs into the bank app, make whatever payments are required. In order to activate these, you are required to log into the Sign app, which will generate a security code to be entered into the relevant field in the banking app. It sounds clunky but isn’t in fact.

I now use their app for looking at the account online, whereas previously i would have logged in through the web portal. It’s quicker and easier, and simply requires one’s ID and password as before. Previously further security was provided by the sequences of numbers on the second card provided by them - ie when making a payment they would require you to enter a number they had selected on this card; this is no longer the case.
