EE to reintroduce Europe roaming charges in January 2022

It has not taken long for the first company to reintroduce Roaming changes and you can expect most other companies to follow suit.

Another BONUS delivered by the Leave team.

I'd say a year is a long enough time. I'm quite surprised it didn't happen sooner, we all knew it would happen.

It's a waste of time people moaning and complaining about the effects of Brexit, it's happened, move on and get over it. It is the new way of living whether we like it or not.

According to the press report I read today it's for new customers and upgrading customers only at this point.

I have a UK mobile on an EE business account, will be interesting to see what happens....

NO NOT MOANING

Simply stating fact, fed up when you post information with people saying you are moaning and then say get on with it, normally they voted to leave.

We all know it is done, EE/BT less than 6 months ago stated they had no plans to reintroduce roaming, there is no requirement for the roaming as these companies have agreements so no cost to them, just another way to extract a pound or two.

I didn't say you were moaning, I was simply saying we all need to just get on with it.

I agree with you it's a little below the belt if these companies aren't having to pay extra for roaming, but I thought the agreement was only within the EU, are these agrrements still in place now England has left? Six months ago they may not have had any plans to re introduce roaming charges, now it seems they do. It is quite a risky move by EE to be the first to announce it. How many will change providers now? Unless as Dinnerout says it is only for new and upgrading customers. I can say from experience six months is a long time in the business world.

Ultimately all companies only exist to make money, that's their sole purpose, if they can make an extra penny somehow they will do it. Companies don't have to make their chocolate bars 2% smaller, they do it because it adds to the profit margin. The way I see it is either accept it or go somewhere else.

With respect you used the word Moaning, that infers you were accusing the writer of moaning there is no other way to read your post.

You did not just say 'we will have to get on with it'

Yes I agree that they will put up prices if they can, and it is to test the water not applying to (some) existing customers, if they do not lose too many then it will be all customers and all companies.

Like the inflation increases that most UK land and mobile telecoms suppliers are adding not just inflation but inflation plus a percentage, there will be complaints and over the next few years they will have this stopped, another con like like moving everyone to free calls for a fee and then moving all businesses to 0845 number which were chargeable.

We'll have to agree to disagree then, I did use the word moaning but I said "it's a waste of time people moaning and complaining" I didn't imply it's a waste of your time moaning.

On a side note, I'd have implied it and you'd have inffered it. I can't help what you infer from a statement I make, this is the issue with reading something, when you can't hear a tone of voice or see the person it is open to many different interpretations depending on the reader.

If we were sat across a table and I said to you "that's a load of rubbish" but with a smile on my face and a light hearted tone in my voice it would be taken as a bit of banter, a laugh, a cheeky comment, whereas if I wrote exactly the same thing in a similar vein it is open to interpretation because all there is are a few words on a website, no context and no personal interaction.
