How do I get an appointment with INSS to register my S1. I am told the office in Cartegena is not as busy as Torrevieja but the website does not have an English option

Use Google Chrome as your browser. Then just clicking the right button on your mouse or keypad gives you the option to translate to English.

Can you use the Cartagena office as the SIP card will be a Valencia Region one although they are now valid throughout Spain. The SIP card is also dependent on your padron.

 Hello

Just to say ...Many years ago (20) when I had an S1 to register, Torrevieja didnt have an INSS office so I was advised to go to Orihuela City to register,  I did & all was fine,   is that an option?

Cheers

If you continue to have problems getting an appointment I'd recommend using a Gestor. They visit INSS pretty regularly, will fit your S1 application into one of these visits. It cost me €40 in 2016, well worth it as my Spanish was not wonderful when I moved over to Spain. Took all the hassle out of it.

You can register your S1 online. The link below will provide a step by step process. I used this to register mine and within a week the INSS contacted me by phone, in English,  to confirm the registration was complete and I would receive a SMS message to show to the receptionist at my nearest health centre who duly issued me with a SIP:

Did you read the post? The Lady is trying to get an appointment but can't get one with INSS. If they follow the instructions on the link provided it will talk them through what they need to do online to register the S1 without attending a face to face appointment. The link explains everything in English.
