Are there any groups of people who are full time carers. Care for my husband who has dementia. Would be nice to get together with others who care for a coffee and a break. Thanks for any replies. Anna-marie x

There will be several professional care companies in your area. It wouldn't be totally safe for your husband to have relatively untrained "Carers"

I believe such groups exist in Torrevieja.
Have you asked at AFA?

Hello
My wife has Alzheimers and I used a carer for an hour a day. Now I have a full time live in carer coming tomorrow. Economically it made sense as she costs us 400 euros a month and the one hour carer cost us 395 a month. I have also applied for an allowance from the Spanish Social services and expect that to cover the cost. Have you tried this route? There is a very good website which vets and offers carers from around the world, costs 69 euros to join. PM me if you want mor details.
Kind regards

I'm not looking for carers for him yet. I'm looking for other people who care for their partners so I can meet with someone who understands the difficulties of being a full time carer for a coffee and a chat. Thanks for your reply.
