Please can anyone tell me if this amount or comment sounds right (this is the response I got from Acciona)

I am currently paying 75 euros per quarter and am only in our holiday home for about 6 weeks a year

''This Price 75,83 € is for the fixed charges of water, sewage, rubbish collection and taxes from Comunitat Valenciana. The bill is every 3 months''

thanks

I don't know about Acciona, as our supply is from Hidraqua.

Does your bill show a breakdown of the charge?

Our quarterly bill includes about €34 in fixed charges, including basura, and the rest is based on the amount of water metered, with the last bill coming to €93.

If the wording you've been given is a correct translation, it sounds like you're on a fixed price contract, irrespective of the amount consumed.

If that's the case, I suggest you ask them for pricing based on consumption, work out what this would be for the amount you consume on average, and make a decision based on that.

thanks

I will try asking

The bit that confused me, was the words about rubbish removal, when I thought this was my water company

I don't know why it is set up that way, but our water company have always collected the basura money.

To me it would make more sense if it was included in the IBI (council tax) bill.
