Hi Dave., apart from having to use a plug adaptor, or preferably swapping the UK 13 amp plug for a round pin Schuko plug, You should have no problems operating any U.K. purchased Electrical equipment in Spain. The electricity supplies throughout Europe have been harmonised in order to allow...

... for no restrictions in trade between Manufacturers of Electrical  / Electronic products  in different Countries.

It's not widely known that the Schuko round pin design was used in Ireland up until about the 1960s , and its origin lay in inter war Germany .                                               I, myself, am actually bringing over to Spain a UK purchased TV in the next few weeks.

Anyone able to put a plug on for me ?. 😀

LeckyLes.

Hi les, thanks for posting this,I found it extremely helpful mate👍. I have had a holiday home in Lamarina for over 20 years, and the price of new TVs are just beyond belief. Our tv died a death and had to purchase a new one, from the nearest electric shop as I don’t drive, and I got it from the euronics store at the main hub in Lamarina. I was really stuck to watch tv,and the cost of a new Sony Bravia was €820 euros for 32 inch tv. I’ve had it now for 15 years and still works great, but it’s old now and not a smart tv.. We are thinking of getting a new smart tv and euronics is looking over €600 ,and it never had android tv built in to it.for a new 48 inch LG. Our tv here in the uk is a new hitachi 47 inch smart 4K,+ android tv,absolutely brilliant 4K tv,it cost £329. So if I am going to get a new tv for the house in Lamarina,I’m going to get a chap that’s doing a van furniture removal and get him to drop it off for me in Lamarina,a chap done this before, taking our new double bed out to the house for €60 euro. So if your thinking of getting a new tv,it’s a different route do go down, but you’ll save at least half of what you’d pay in Spain 👍 Android is basically a fire stick that’s built into your tv and you can get Netflix,Amazon prime movies etc all built in,plus download an app and watch iptv as well, absolutely brilliant,it’s the way to go now,for all your movies, sports, box sets, and general tv channels.
