People die, it's a fact of life.

Nobody is done any favours by being shielded from these things. We all, or nearly all, have to deal with injury and death at some time in our lives.

It seems a peculiarly British trait to look away and pretend it doesn't happen. Perhaps it has to do with Queen Victoria and table legs

OK an American here so I have no opinion on the body being in view - God knows how the USA is and that´s why we are here......but I have to know:  What´s with Queen Victoria and table legs????  I would like in on this inside comment.....

So you think it’s ok for a 5 year old girl to walk past a man with half his brain splattered all over his face and road. That child and possibly others will have nightmares for god knows how long…. So if you think that’s on ok way to handle something like this well good on you.

I would have taped of the area and prevented any children seeing something that a young brain can’t handle…. But hey ho….. that’s just me! ...

The police will have done their assessments and okayed the removal, life has to go on,in Germany the same quick and efficient procedures applied, seems the UK Police (?) ,prefer to make society suffer by closing everything down whilst a slow " investigation" takes place and vehicles are diverted to the four corners of the earth, very similar to how the Guards in the Irish Republic operate.Different generations view death different ways ,society of today much more violent but perversely seem horrified when someone dies.Must be a woke social media, displaying feelings thing going on.

The way I see it, is death comes to us all. So why should we hide away from it. The kids will now know the dangers of the road and take better care and pay more attention (instead walking straight across whilest starring at their phones). Where I grew up, Newcastle, we all have a laugh when someone dies, its our way of dealing with it and honouring the dead.

When I first moved to Spain I witnessed a woman jump from a 15th floor balcony in Benidorm. She lay uncovered for around an hour before Police and Ambulance had done all the necessary information work and taken her away.

It transpires that she had gone to a specific building to jump as her block wasn't quite high enough!!!

Strange start to my new life..........😳

I watched (was also talking to) the guy who fell from the hotel opposite Yorkshire pride 3. He was still alive when I got there, he wanted to up and go, even though he his leg bones were sticking out, he was bleeding alot from his mouth, obviously due to internal bleeding....then he got quieter, stopped wanting to leave, sat leaning back, then lay down and went to sleep. By then the ambulance was there working on him, his body stayed there covered under a sheet but in full view and then was taken away
