Hahaha!  They're all gorgeous- even the little gizmo in the middle with the oversized ears 🤣

I've never seen black ones - two of my friends have greys.

Many thanks,

Kim

Hi there, I know it may seem a stupid question, but have you actually got work lined up as the unemployment situation here is dire?

Work is lined up, but I am now re thinking because of the dog law

i would strongly advise you to checkout Spanish law on dogs. It’s even illegal to walk your dog without a leash in spain, but if your dogs are over 20kgs there is a lot you need to know before you make the move.  Doggie daycare is around 10 euros per dog a day. Good luck

I was told by a Spanish Judge friend that a dog need only be on a lead if it is a dangerous dog. Obviously, if you are near a road it is a good idea to have your dog on a lead. Even the best-behaved dog can be skittish on occasions and cross the road to another dog or to chase a cat.

Hi Lana,

Reading all the helpful posts has really put us off bring our dogs, who are our life.  Here in the UK dog are always on leads except in parks, country side and beaches.  No requirements for muzzles. I sent my friend a message she has four dogs over 20kg each she said that the Spanish don’t enforce it unless dangerous, is that correct.  Our boys are like cuddly bears and the thought of putting a muzzle on them, just can’t do, real shame

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

My dog is a nearly blind 6year old American Cocker Spaniel. His weight is approximately 13 kg. Obviously, when near the road or anywhere that could present a problem not only for him but others he is on a lead. Because of his near blindness, at times he can get under my feet and I could fall which could create problems for me at my age. He does not go too far from me because he gets frightened if he cannot see or detect me nearby.

Bring your dogs! You can't leave them at home. You would be worrying about them all the time. Bring them and you all have a great time together.  You can get out in to the country and they can have a run or whatever. If you are travelling by Ferry you will need to have muzzles so you will have them with you.  Keep them away from other people, kids and dogs if you are not sure, Only muzzle if you need to, e.g., go to a Vet. My last dog and my current dog both like the Vets so I have never had to muzzle.

Hi Comares,

I didn't read that as Lee deciding to leave the dogs at home, rather that none of them would move to Spain.  As fellow dog owners, I'm sure we both understand that sentiment 🙂

However, it's also worth mentioning that dogs are well catered for here in terms of dedicated, enclosed dog parks and agility courses, free of charge, where they can be exercised off lead and socialise with other owners and their woofs.

Kind regards,

Kim
