Ray is right, all non resident accounts have fees, only resident accounts with a regular monthly credit ( usually 700€ ) have no fees.

Hi

I have a non residents bank account with Sabadell, they have just introduced a quarterly

charge of 30 euros which has gone up to 35 euros

Does anyone know any other bank which has no bank charges or at least cheaper than

Sabadell?

Thanks

Darrel

At last..... finished with Sabadell and Spanish banking.. I managed to close my account on Friday last in a matter of minutes.

Nice of them to charge me €25 closure fee and gave me back my account balance in cash.

No more being fleeced as a non-resident..

I'm with BBVA.  No minimum monthly amount to pay in and no charges.  I've been with them since May and very happy with them.

Yes, but I could have had the same account as a non-resident.  In fact, I think I opened the account before I had residency.

Hi Cat, Very interesting about no minimum pay in and no monthly charge, as all other banks have quarterly charges for non residents, i am sure 100's of other users of this forum, as i am, if you could confirm that BBVA do not have extra charges for non residents, if they do not, they will be inundated with requests for bank accounts
