There is no problem transferring large sums with Wise (have done it myself)

I used IFX which was fantastic as I managed to lock in a rate of over 1.2 when I exchanged in April. The rate was down at 1.17 on completion. Wise may have offered the best rate on completion day but it would not have beaten 1.2. Great personal service too 

I am using Wise for my day to day stuff, paying bills etc. and their App is great.

You can lock in a rate with Wise too (simply transfer the funds to a euro account at current rates and hold it until completion day). 

I think Wise charge you for holding large balances.

Also I only had to send IFX a small deposit to lock in the rate. Not all my funds (which I didn’t actually have a available at the time )

Just checked and Wise are still 1 cent more than the rest.

I have used torfex for 19years never had a problem first class

I know their rates are very good. But out  of interest where did you check?

Just checked, the traders rate is 1.1703 at this moment and Wise are offering 1.1702. No-one will exceed the traders rate (as they will lose money) so Wise rates are currently pretty unbeatable. I usually check Wise rates against the market when I am converting funds and they are always within a hundredth of a cent off the traders rate. These firms make their money on the fees they charge (rather than the actual exchange rates which are usually pretty similar amonst these currency companies) and Wise fee is currently 0.02%.
