Thank you so much paperwork to travel these days

There is a company on the gov U.K. website called Expert Medicals, £160 per kit.  Do not use them under any circumstances they are a scam company.  5 weeks after my first day 2 test  I’ve still had no results, no one answers their 2 phone lines snd had no replies to the 10+ emails I have sent them.  Just a heads up.

Before you book any test for the day 2 and day 8, please read the reviews of the company's, because some of them DO NOT provide the service. My partner and I used 001 Doctor. Only one test arrived and that was on day 8. In the end we contacted the bank and got our money back. From reading other Comments on here over the last few weeks, it appears that there are other companies who are operating in the same way, hence why I suggest reading the reviews first.

I hope that you manage to get one soon.

I used a company called Medispot.  Day 2 sent out with 48hours of ordering but they forgot to send day 8 so 3 extra days in quarantine. If your tests are around a weekend it can take longer to get your results due to having to post them. Day 2: I got my results on day 4, husband on day 6m both went in the post box at the same time. The warehouse that sends the test does not work at weekends but the labs do.

I did get a refund for the day 8 tests but that doesn't help with all the hassle, extra delays and rearranging appointments that we were unable to attend.

Paid £410 for the kits for both of us

One thing that seems constant in these day 2&8 day tests ,expensive they are ,but  these companies running these tests are definitely not efficient, isn't  it about time these chancer companies were removed.from the government lists ,I know this would upset some that are in power but hey c'est la vie

Yes we should have read the reviews before hand , but like fools we trusted the U.K. government fir recommendations.  Fortunately we paid by card and have now had a full refund from out bank.  Boris really needs to get himself and his cronies into the real world and sort out his information if he is a representative of the government!!

I looked at 2 providers I saw recommended - Testing4All and Randox Health. Both have reasonable reviews but I went with Testing4All as it is easier for us to return the test kits, they use Royal Mail, Randox have to be dropped into their collection box (there are none near us) or pay extra for a courier.

Testing4All is £98 for day 2 and day 8 tests, they came as scheduled and we have just returned Day 2 today, so too early to say what they are like. They do not do a Day 5 test. They post the results on-line.

Randox Health is cheaper as you can use discount codes from Ryanair/Easyjet/BA. With the codes they work out at £86 for the Day 2 and Day 8 tests plus they do a Day 5 test (test to release) for £43 with the same discount code. Their Day 5 testing did not have as good reviews as their Day 2/8 testing.

With Randox you can also book on-site Day 5 testing at Stansted, East Midlands and Manchester airports where they will send you the results in 12 hours. Cost £60. It can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the test time, so if Day 2 test is positive you can cancel this test.

The above prices are per person and for England.

AItch.

Astounding information as always mate

much appreciated. I just need to know that for a family of four on our ten day break so we need to budget for 4 more tests in Spain before we head for Alicante airport back to the uk
