Is the travel ban still on course to be lifted on the 5th January, all help appreciated

TIA

Just copied and pasted from el Pais in English

Valencia region

The regional government of Valencia announced last week that the border will remain sealed until January 15. Travel in or out of the region to see family or allegados is banned until this date. Allowances are made for residents returning home, for work reasons or other reasons of force majeure outlined in the current state of alarm.

Social gatherings will be limited to six people throughout the entire holiday period, even on Christmas Eve and Christmas. The curfew will begin at 11pm, except for December 24 and December 31, when it will be pushed back to midnight.

Hi its for Spanish nationals and residence really. Spain has also extended the UK ban until the 19th Jan 2021

Try the Spanish embassy maybe you could get special privilege?

Best of luck. Maybe get the test just before you fly out and run the risk off being stopped and flrwn back?

Hi Sandra,

As the various travel bans stand at the moment and from feedback received by those who have attempted to fly from the UK to Spain in the last week, the traveller with residency in Spain would be allowed to come here, but the one without residency would be denied boarding at the UK end.  I've...

... seen similar reports of people being turned away from UK ferry ports as well, unless they have residency in France or Spain.  Eurostar crossings to Paris and Lille are also restricted:

Kind regards,

Kim

Yes, there lots of people being turned away at UK airports. Only yesterday some people

were turned away who have Spanish residency from Heathrow airport. Apparently there was some misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the rules.

It is quite clear as Kim says if there is a

person who is Spanish or a person

With residencia then they can travel.

The Spanish Gov have extended the ban from the UK until the 19/1/21. This could of course change as the outbreak numbers are getting worse not better both in Spain and in UK. Sadly, not a good situation.

Hopefully it will improve soon.
