I filled out the form I got on the uk Government website but also the one on the Spanish website. At Stansted they asked if I had the UK one, in Spain they asked me for the Spanish one!

There is a Black & White form to fill in all your data which airlines are currently sending to their passengers, or go on www.gov.uk, and which you can print out and take them with you. Remember one form for each person. At Alicante there were people ranting about filling in more than one for a family.  Maybe if there are children under 18 it can all be on one form, but I don’t think so.

The other more colourful one can be found on www.spth.gob.es. Fill this is and you will obtain a QR code which will be scanned at the airport on arrival.

I wasn’t getting very far with this one until someone mentioned that they couldn’t go further than the request as they had an iPhone! I wasn’t trying with an iPhone but with an iPad. As soon as I switched to a tablet, I completed the request and received their reply with the QR Code. So maybe it was true, maybe I’m just no good at these more technical things, or just plain silly but I got there eventually. 😃

Hope this is all clear.  Good luck.

I successfully filled in the Spanish form on my iPhone without any problems and received the QR code by email which was scanned at Alicante airport.  I also completed the English form on my iPhone without any trouble.

You stare an English and Spanish one. Presumably Spanish one handed in at Alicante upon landing and English one on arrival in uk upon arrival?

At Stansted, one of the Jet2 staff asked us all if we had completed the travel form which she held in her hand to show us and is was the British one which some of the airlines indicate. I started to retrieve our forms from my bag and she told me that she didn’t collect it but another member of staff would further along the line.

Nobody in the airport or on the plane asked for it. However the flight assistants did come round with blank copies in case someone didn’t already have one. Again it was the British form.

At Alicante airport most passengers had the British form but hadn’t necessarily filled in one form for each passenger. So they had to fill them in there or else they wouldn’t be allowed out of the airport. These forms were taken by airport staff and not returned to the passengers.

I was ushered through with my form and had to go to a make-shift desk where 2 Spanish airport staff (?)  saw I had my Spanish form with the QR code, said they preferred that one which they scanned and I went through. I didn’t have to leave the form with them. So I presume either is sufficient. Or if you have the app on your phone, they scan this.

Just to complete the trip info  :  Flown  home to Gatwick today. Alicante airport was busier but by no means crowded, duty free, Costa coffee and Eat were open.   Easyjet flight was even emptier than on way out with just 80 passengers so plenty of room on plane.  ( Appare...

...ntly they were expecting 189 passengers but assumed some may not have been able to get an outward flight??).  Again boarded in groups of rows from rear and disembarked row by row from front, only standing to retrieve items from overhead lockers when row in front had left. Repeatedly reminded by crew to wear masks at all times .  In flight trolly service sold reduced range of cold items.

Landed 30 minutes early at Gatwick.  Only ones at passport control. Had completed on line contact form but was not asked for it nor saw any means for one to be completed in Gatwick.  Perhaps they are no longer required?

Hi,

we flew back from Alicante to Luton this Thursday evening. Alicante airport reasonable quiet, no problems with security. Costa, Eats, W.H .Smiths plus Duty Free open. Flying Ryanair, flight left a little early and landed 20 minutes early, plane 60 percent full. We had completed the UK health forms but no-one asked for them at Luton and we just walked straight through. Very lax given the latest covid19 situation in Valencia region.

One other point, the Ryanair plane itself was very dirty, bits of food debris all over the floor and we saw one couple having to ask for wipes and tissues to clean their seats. It was a similar story on the Ryanair flight out though not as dirty as the return. Not much evidence of the deep cleaning that is supposed to be happening!

Rgds,

Aitch.
