They do sometimes take a while to reply as it's done manually. I think they list prices on their website, also check your junk folder

All sorted thanks - car booked for collection next Friday.  They gave me the instructions about being met and, on completion of the hire, leaving the car at Level Five.  I'm still waiting for an answer to my question about the keys though - where do you leave them, seeing as they do not have a Goldcar-style office up there.

Normally lock the keys in the boot as they have spare keys

No sure if the penny has dropped in GC Alicante.   A friend dropped car back last week, no damages. Got a bill for 900 Euro  for 3/4 alleged scratches which he insists didn't happen on his watch. They put up photos but who knows if its the same car?- Also  GC offices in the car park are dark, so next to impossible to see minor scratches in such low light.  He has insurance (bought separately) but it appears GC may be up to old antics. I've booked with them a few times without problems, but I'll be very wary in future.

That’s shocking - 900 Euros!!  I’ve just had my latest two week visit and managed without a hire car altogether.  I had booked Lara Cars ( as recommended) but decided to cancel in good time.  Our late arrival at Alicante meant a taxi which I had pre-booked with Torrevieja Radio Taxis and the driver was waiting in the arrivals hall with my name displayed.  55 Euros for a trip to La Siesta was, I thought, reasonable.  We bought bikes and went everywhere on them.  I made one trip to Habaneras by bus and a 9 Euro taxi back home with a bulky item to carry.  So, all things considered, we didn’t miss the hire car hassle at all!

There have been enough warnings...  I read where people say "Ive had no problems" with Gold Car and the others at the airport.   Well good luck.  They are cowboys and they have you by the short and curls....  They got me..

I now use a local one to our vilage if I need one at all...

Dont use the cowboys...  Your turn will come...
