Yes thank you Kimmy, I fully agree but it gets very annoying when DUI takes every opportunity to force his point through. He should use that sort of energy to get through to the ministers and MP's that are responsible. Making his point on a Spain forum won't make any difference to Brexit and he w...

what's is this I keep seeing that you need proof of at least 32.ooo euros income every year if you wont to move over to spain ?

Just an enquiry because I don't know but I am sure that someone more knowledgeable than me will be able to answer this.

I know about the minimum income that you need to move to Spain and how it is out of reach for most average earning newly retired pensioners.

My question is if you have say a private pension which is valued at say 100k on top of your state pension can this be added to the minimum income. Or if you have sold a house in the UK and have a lot of cash over from the sale can this be part of income or is it that you must have 32k coming in every year?

If you are applying for the non lucrative visa you need to prove that you have an income of €27,792.96 for the first person and €6,948.24 for each additional person. This can be made up of any income from Pensions of any type or other sustainable income. You also have the option of showing a lump sum of a required amount plus income per annum. If you gain the NLV you can then move to Spain and apply for residency, this income will also need to be proven at intervals of 2 and 4 years up to 5 years when you would be eligible to gain permanent residency. If the income falls below the set requirements the the NLV will become void.

Full private healthcare paid for a full year is also a requirement to gain the NLV.

Rules are for NLV Approx figure yearly finances required for one person

Yr 1 €27792

Yr 2 -3 €55584

Yr 4-5 €55584

So if you put €56000 in a saving account and never touched it you have fullfilled the criteria till you can apply for a long term visa. In year 6

People who voted for Brexit voted for the crap deal that David Cameron bought back from negotiations. i.e carrying on with free movement and Hungary and Poland don't allow it and they are in the EU.

Margaret Thatcher renogiated our how much we pay in and threatened to leave but David Cameron treated everyone like mugs.

So blame David Cameron not the British people because they voted on the deal

Freedom of movement is one of the cornerstones of the EU.Both Poland and Hungary have to adhere to this. The UK had a few special deals within club rules but ultimately this didn’t suit a small majority of voters. The EU will continue with their project, the UK will continue with theirs.

Most people in the UK were fully behind a common trading area and freedom of movement could have been acceptible with rules that stopped the scrongers from taking advantage but when laws keep following from Brussels that make no common sense people start to get annoyed that the unelected are dictating what they can do, buy etc. Time will only tell what happens both in ghe EU and UK

UK had all rules in place,it’s just for whatever reason the authorities couldn’t be bothered to enforce them.An example would be the illegal migrants coming across the channel. There is a huge undocumented black cash economy in the UK,this is what they come for. There are virtually unlimited jobs in kitchens, food delivery, car washes, office cleaners etc. There are plenty of regulations, government turns a blind eye.Its always easy to blame someone else e.g unelected officials.
