Does anyone know if it is possible to renew a bus pass yet or is there any truth in the rumour that they are no longer going to be issued? No rush, I'm saving money staying at home.....lol

We have had ours 5 years now. No start or expiry date on them? Thought they were permanent?

When I got mine in April 2019 it cost 7 euros. Told it would need to be renewed every year...7 euros a year. Very cheap.....Caught the bus into town a few months ago and a woman tried to use her bus pass but it didn't work as it had expired so she had to pay. I know bus passes changed to smart ones because people were signing on the padron to get one without being a resident. Don't know how they managed that......I had to prove residency before being allowed to sign on he padron

Same in Albatera re signing on the Padron, Unfortunately some municipalities still encourage non-residents to sign as they get so much per permanent resident but it can cause problems along the line both for the municipality and the non-resident.

Same with us. It was 2015 when we got ours. Didn't pay anything. Will have to see what happens when we use a bus again.

Interesting point, which come first, residency or pardon. I have heard of no pardon no residency. Also when I signed on the pardon years ago at the town hall, the pardon had 16 people on it who had lived in the property previously, when I asked the clerk to remove them all he was not best pleased.

''some ayuntamientos let anyone on as it shows a higher population and they get more money.''
Would that be classed
as fraud or just acceptable procedure?
