Hi

You could start by looking at Punta Prima, on the southern edge of Torrevieja. Almost everybody speaks English, as they do in the other areas slightly further South. Be aware though that these areas are not technically Torrevieja, they are part of Orihuela Costa. If you don't intend to have a car, and want to be able to get into Torrevieja, then Punta Prima has a very good bus service, but it doesn't go any further South.

Cheers

Steve

Hi

Quesada can be very quiet out of season, and has no public transport, in my experience

Cheers

Hi

Areas to look at in addition to Punta Prima (in my opinion) would be : La Florida, Los Altos, Playa Flamenca and La Zenia.

All have large numbers of English speaking ex-pats and bars, restaurant and activities to join in and socialise.

Good luck with your search

Cheers, Sharon

Quesada and Villamartin, you'll struggle to hear anything but British in both.

Hi, good information well put. Can you tell me if La Mata up to Guardamar is similar to Punta Prima, good transport, restaurants, etc. Also where is the best area for the winter months?

La Mata  is quieter. You are right beside the sea, so winter can be colder there. There's a nice park nearby.
