Meeting someone at the airport

Our daughter flew in 26th September and although we waited in the car park for them they told me many people were waiting in the arrivals hall. When they flew back on 3rd October there was a sign at the end of the car park bridge saying only those with flight tickets could enter the terminal.
We also went into the terminal on 27th September to arrange and collect a hire car and there were lots of people waiting in the arrivals hall and the cafe was open.

Thanks for that helpful reply Cheryl.  I will try that on Saturday but if they do decide to man the doors again, like earlier in the year, I'll just meet her outside at the Costa Coffee cafe

The other option is to meet at the end of the footbridge to the multi storey car park.

I was there on the 4th October and you could only get inside with a boarding pass. I think they just do it randomly. To be honest they don’t even look at it. Any old boarding pass on you phone would get you in!!

My wife and I were in the cafe next to the arrivals hall last week no problems.

When you enter the terminal building you just need to take the travelators right after you have entered down to the arrivals hall as the guy checking boarding passes is about 5mtr from the entrance.
