KIM,
You won’t believe it but my daughter told me this morning! I shall contact her and enquire where she heard this but I did google before posting and saw several references to it otherwise I would not have passed her information on. I’m surprised that you don’t believe this. I ten...

Now, on to happier things as I am personally past caring about this topic.
Today was supposed to be dull with possible showers. As a result of this forecast,I asked my husband to take me to the north coast so that I could check out our caravan. No real enthusiasm but he relented and off we set. I packed some food for lunch which he said he wasn’t staying long enough for! Arrived there and the sky was blue, the beach was stunning and cars were parked all along the prom. It was a joy to behold. We checked the caravan and it was perfect, the grass had been cut and the reeds were poking through the back wall and looked lovely. I cleaned the windows and then we had our lunch before going for a walk on the beach. We stopped for ice creams and walked onto the beautiful sandy beach and down to the water’s edge and along the coast looking over to Donegal. It was like winning the lottery...well,nearly! People were out with their children or their dogs and some with their husbands too. It was so beautiful ! As we can’t visit Spain and doesn’t look like we will be going over for some time, we are so thankful to have such a wonderful country to live in. Normally, we have more rain than sunshine and this may well be what we get again but we have been blessed with wonderful weather which makes everyone feel so much happier. You guys know that as you live in a country with a glorious climate! Before long you will be permitted to use your beaches and I hope that day will be sooner rather than later.
I hope you are all in good spirits and getting out now that things have relaxed somewhat. Enjoy your lives and take care.
Thanks Rose, that would be much appreciated.
I see you're having wonderful weather in the UK at the moment - enjoy!
Kind regards,
Kim

The vulnerable child bit seems to have been cooked up for the sympathy vote, oh look what a wonderful caring father he is.
My middle son was diagnosed with primarily ADHD, but elements of Autism and other factors were not ruled out. This is because many of these things overlap. What I do know is that anyone with such a child would most certainly have contingency plans with local people involved. The last thing these children appreciate is being taken out of familiar surroundings. A large part of their general difficulty is not being able to adapt to anything new. The whole fiasco has a distinct smell of bovine manure about it. Add in the driving to test eyesight and then the altered blog purporting to claim he warned of Covid last year and the only reasonable conclusion is - it is all fabricated off the cuff. As each element is torn apart out comes another fabrication which makes no more sense than the last.
No apology has been hinted at, certainly no resignation, just we are told to move on. For the many thousands who obeyed the rules while their loved ones were slipping away it is an absolute kick in the teeth.
Another 4 years (minimum) of this to put up with is becoming the main reason I am considering moving to Spain. Without doubt the Spanish politicians get up to all sorts as well, but I doubt my Spanish would ever get to the level where I could follow it and feel so annoyed.
Pete.
This post that was quoted has been deleted.
Where did anyone say they were not concerned about these things, we do not have a sole concern over the action of a non elected egotist with a desire for power. Racism wherever it occurs is deplorable and the jobs losses at Nissan are of great concern as it will have a major impact on many citizens of our adopted country and also its economy.

Hi Pete, I hope you are finding the Forum of great help in your proposed time spent in Spain.
In regards to you post here ,I wholeheartedly agree with all points highlighted, as do the majority of British people at home and in Spain.

With regards to Mr Cummings I ask myself “Am I Bovvered?”
I am concerned that his selfish inconsiderate actions have placed at risk the adherence to future “stay at home” instructions which may result in the virus spreading, along with the governments rush to open up their semi lockdown. This concerns me as I have friends and family back in blighty that may be put at risk by a lying two faced privileged so-called intellect who has the ear and protection of Bojo the clown.
I now live in Spain and I am more focused on how Spain copes with the pandemic and keeps us safe and prevents the clinically stupid not complying to the rules and spreading the virus.
I am also very concerned as to how the Spanish economy is going to recover.
Oh well at least the sun is shining.

The sun is shining here in Northern Ireland and the head is over powering But I’m not complaining ! I have planted numerous petunias and a lovely wisteria against a wall this morning and am clad in a swimsuit with my hair over grown and out of shape but still not complaining!
A short while ago, we had a delivery from Amazon..really exciting , an empty box. The contents must have fallen out somewhere enroute. Yesterday, a small package arrived with our address only on the front. I quickly opened it to find a little pastry brush inside. I never ordered it and have no idea where it came from either. So, life here is full of exciting moments. We have everything delivered to us which is a wonderful service, food, hair products, garden plants, lawn feed, a cordless vacuum for my husbands car which is probably a piece of junk but he wanted it so,again, who am I to complain?
It’s the simple life for us now but the saddest thing is that my life is flying past far too quickly and we can’t take a notion to go out for a meal but I suppose we could order one to be delivered. That’s not what we want...we would like to sit in a decent restaurant with other folk around all enjoying delicious food and vino. Sadly, that isn’t likely to happen just yet. Not for you people either. Oh, no more complaining , put a smile on my face and walk tall.. cheers
