My hobby is restoring classic cars.    The last one was a Lotus Europa of which, when I was Jack the Lad, I had a succession of two, Renault and Lotus engined.  I bought one on the internet and when it arrived it was a disaster but I turned it around hoping to keep it.   Unfortunately a guy from Zaragoza turned up with a trailer and a fat wad......

Kind regards

Richard

Spain ignores the EU directive on free movement of goods and services by heaping huge ´registration´ costs on imported vehicles.   Thank God for Brexit!

I am just registering my classic car at a cost of 1,100 euros!  Total rip-off!  Costs zero in the UK.

Richard,  Brexit won't change a thing or cost about living in Spain, only the UK. Indeed, importing from UK will cost far more as a result.

On what do you base your comment?  Nowhere has this been muted.  How much more, as you appear to be an expert on this subject?

Hola  I have done better   I had an MG B  in the Uk       Thought an MG TF  would be nice over here

Bought one from Specialist Vehicles in San Javier

The engine blew up after two weeks    in the end I lost €3,000     as they would not "help"  is that better??

Hi Dave

I would have given you a hand rebuilding it!    My first car was a 1939 MG TA.... wish I still had it.

Kind regards

Richard

Hola   thank you for your offer     I now have a Volvo S40   with a Brolly and two hats in the rear self

I never thought I would own an old man's car      still miss the MG B   no power steering  leaking roof  double-declutch

Motorola radio    sat down low     those were the days

Far better then the MG TF    I think that was when BL fell apart    DAVE
