I dont think we're allowed an opinion on here sometimes,  a lot of people seem to think only their opinion counts , and they know EXACTLY what will happen on every subject, as I've said before its always the usual suspects,  becomes very boring after a while

Ahh yes,the resident know all bullies. It spoils an otherwise great forum

I know I can have strong views and put them across firmly, but I hope I'm not considered a bully, not that I'm assuming the above post is to me as I'm not here much and haven't been here for long. I enjoy robust discussion, but I do forget sometimes that others don't.

For anyone whose posts you'd rather not see, just click the block button, then you will never know they've posted unless someone quotes them. I have a whole load of people blocked; it can make some threads appear a bit odd as people reply to posts you don't see, but it's worth it to not have to listen to some peoples rambling waffle or bigotted bullshit or tin-hat nonsense.

Thanks to this thread I've been able to add a few more ;-)

Personally, I actually think everyone should take a chill pill and stop being so pessimistic.

Things will work out ok and life will actually go on , as it always has for Centuries past, following any National , or indeed, worldwide downturn.

Please dont be so defeatist !

Couldn’t have put it better too much negativity about, what ever happens will happen.

Just a little update....

After receiving three cancellations for my rental apartment at the start of the outbreak, in the last 24 hours two of them have been filled with new bookings, one from France and one from Belgium.

Something positive! 😉

yes, what dates are they for? Key for them being able to travel will be cross border travel for tourism being reinstated.

July and August. I can't see EU borders being closed until then because that would be the final nail for some larger tourist businesses. Fingers crossed!

There will most probably a uniform reaction by the EU concerning Intra-Schengen cross-border travel. It is expected that intra Schengen travel will become unrestricted by July. Already, Greece is actively promoting International Summer holidays to their shores. Spain will follow, of that I have absolutely no doubt.

This “ borders closed till  October “ rumour is the result of a single article in a newspaper where this was being mentioned as an option...and this before the 4 stage return to “New Normal” was announced.

Keep zen, we will soon be able to travel again. Preferably by plane ( 🤪).
