Hi Maria, I'm sure this must be of some real concern to you and your fellow neighbours.

Was this house empty for a long period of time, and whether it is a Bank Repossion?.. also do you know by which means the Squatters gained entry ?

LeckyLes.

It must be a nightmare, I found a press clipping from last year which might help.

It's worth to note the above mention. It was a nightmare through the "denuncia" method. Though as described above & other may assist a problem more stream-lined through the judicial system Villas

Hope the new law works, seen stories that if the owners have not gone to the police in 24 hours squatters almost impossible to get out in years. sounds absurd

With reference to John:56 (above) on this day!

Squatter´s rights have (it seems) a little more advanced.

With friend´s experience 3 yrs ago. through a denunicia ( with kid´s squatters in the squatter´s family 3 yrs).

The post above has (i´m told) streamlined as he has mentioned.

Hope this helps.

These people are horrible horrible horrible. It boils my blood that these parasites do what they do.

It would interesting to know if anybody has any practical experience to see if the Spanish system dealt with them effectively and efficiently.

Otherwise arrange for a tactical exit.

New squatting rules in Spain drastically speed up the eviction process. The senate has approved specific measures against illegal occupiers of private property. ... Under the new rules a fast-track procedure has been introduced allowing owners to get squatters out in a matter of weeks.Jun 24, 2018. opposed to I mentioned above where years (in particular where children are squatting within the family.) I would of course advice to follow the legal route even though the victims seem to at first to be less protected in law. It seems to be working now, than the previous alternatives. (worth reading:)

Well that’s good then........not like in the UK!

Must be a nightmare for people.

At least the Spanish authorities can deal with the situation and meet these parasites head on.

If there are squatters in your property are you allowed to enter?

It would be useful to be able to turn off all the services like water and electric. I bet they would take spite and then trash the property and perhaps use portable cooking facilities. Without water they couldn’t do allot......apart from soil everything.
