Can anyone help with a recommendation to apply for a tourist licence as I am based in the UK - thank you

Most of the legal firms do them.  As you are in the UK it is probably best to ask your current legal/fiscal representative as they would have easy access to the info needed to apply for the Certificate of Compatibility that is needed before you can apply for the actual Tourist License.

Hi I have been trying for nearly 3 years to get a license and changed solicitors several times. I can’t get past the first stage it depends on your area and if they want to issue any more - it does seem unfair.

That’s exactly what I was told as well , looks like we just contact our local guardia civil to make an appointment bearing in mind you need to book their translator for the same time plus I was told you need to take your title dead’s to prove you own the property.

As you are in Los Altos try Ana at Spanish Solutions in La Zenia or PSI in Playa Flamenca. It will take time.

You do not go to the Guardia Civil until after you have received your Tourist License.  You need to take the License, your NIEs and your passports. If you Spanish is OK you may not need  translator.

Hi Jimo.

Sadly, I believe Pilar is one of several Town Halls not currently accepting applications for a Compatibility Certificate, without that you cannot apply for the License.
