We used a company that let you share the load with others ... we had 5 boxes which they came and packed .... when we moved into our new home in Spain it wasn’t long until it was delivered....

The company is pickfords

Hope this helps 😊

Hi.

I think Torrevieja is very built up. I, personally, don' like it.

Lots of English people in Quesada but I think that is too English for us too.

We live in Daya Vieja. Lovely here.

Try looking at Vincent Real Estate. They seem to be the main agents in this area

Hi my name is Wendy and hopefully in 4 wks time we will have completed the sale of our home in the UK and be on a flight to Alicante.. we are a family of 4 2 girls age 13/11..We only live once and feel this is something we need to do and hopefully give my kids an experience of another lifestyle.....

...another language..life experience.... we are hoping to rent initially and have been advised on renting for 3 months plus as not classed as a holiday rental.. this will give us time to look around the area and hopefully buy a home and look at high schools for the girls..we have nowhere to go immediately as I need to know the exact date then god knows il just have to book something for a few days until we find something more permanent to rent.. job side does worry us but I am a qualified cook and work in school meals at the moment so with my catering background I am hoping to find work.. my husband a warehouse manager but any work bar/cafe/shops etc we obviously will be happy to do if we can find as I understand the unemployment in Spain can be as bad as the UK...please be kind with any help advice or anyone who would be willing for us to rent their property long term cheaper than a holiday rental would be brilliant or initially just for the first few days of us getting out there.... hope to meet up with ex pats soon for their advice and experiences x

Hi Wendy

A friend of mine has a 3 bed house available which you could rent until he is out for school hols at the begining of Aug. Will pm you re this.

You do need to be sure your girls are on board with your dream as they will probably experience the most problems with school etc- having said that the schools here break up shortly until Sept. I would try to speak to people with children a similar age for their experiences. Renting for a few months is definitely your best option.

Good luck
