In the 15 years that I have lived in Spain I have never had a 'stringy' chicken breast!

Please tell which way you are cooking the chicken as we have tried several different supermarkets and cooking methods and are constantly getting chewy and stringy chicken. 😃

I normally purchase my chicken from Mercadona and either roast it or fry it in a little olive oil.

Try sealing in cling film and poaching in water for 45 minutes to an hour but don’t let it boil.

Can you brown this before or after? I ask because I dont like the look of anaemic meat.

I have a crockpot multi cooker.....I saute it first and then steam it.....takes 6 minutes and oh so tender!

Yes sear in a hot pan couple of minutes each side afterwards, job done.

I buy from Dialprix supermarket. They are packed on site by their own butchers so are fresh.

I slow fry those chicken breasts covering the frying pan with a lid and keep turning the breast over. 20 minutes and done!!

Many thanks to those who have responded with advice on where to buy the chicken and their cooking methods.

Strange question i know but why are the Spanish chicken breasts in the supermarket huge.

They are also a perfect size for making "Chicken New Yorker" with bacon, cheese and bbq sauce.

I think I might do that for tonight's tea!!😉
