I've just tested the system and at the moment, as with residency appointments, they aren't offering appointments at all.

The link for the 790 - 012 forms doesn’t work now on your guide.

I’ve managed to download one elsewhere, is this the correct one ?

Thanks

I've just tested the link and it's working OK:

If no appointments are being made does that mean no one can buy a car, property etc? & is this a result of Brexit & a case of wait & see what happens? Surely estate agents & Abogados are stuck with clients in limbo.

Hi Victoria,

What is the time frame for getting an NIE number with you?

We have been here 3 weeks and have tried to get an appointment on the website everyday with no luck. We were told on Monday by a NIE company that there are no appointments available until June!

Thanks

This has nothing to do with this thread and should have been posted as a new topic.

The cost is €8.50.

Read the following for what your father should have done:

https://sede.dgt.gob.es/Galerias/tramites-y-multas/tu-coche/cambio-titularidad/09/09-Notificacion-venta-vehiculo_EN.pdf

He should also have ensured that the purchaser had a copy of the purchase and sale contract and a copy of your father's NIE.

I have applied for NIE here in Malta at the Spanish embassy. It's been 6 weeks and no reply yet. Is this normal?

If it were one of the UK consulates then I'd say it's unusual. As it's Malta then I don't know.

Unfortunately there's no way to do online tracking of an NIE application, so you'd have to ask the consulate.

Thanks for your reply. I did ask the embassy but their reply was a simple, 'it has not been been received at this representation'!!
