It seems to me that your original post was definitely about you!!

And you being annoyed that after 20 years of living illegally and staying under the radar that now you are limited to 90 days in 180 days and can't do as you like...

Become a legal resident.

Steve

He's only been on here 2 minutes as well.

Why bother joining a forum just so you can have an angry rant & slag off its regular contributors?

Very strange behaviour...

Yep, his first post in "Catch 22" was about applying for the NLV and complaining about the Spanish Consulate back in March 😉

My post did was not about myself, merely an observation, but it would appear that this forum is frequented by smug individuals who cannot wait to show how clever they, (think), they are - and they are classified as "helpfull" and "super helpful"  contributers?

Carry on.

Hi Geemak,

I've read your previous posts and you are clearly frustrated by the Spanish visa process.  However, you received helpful advice from other members, for which you thanked them at the time.  To suggest now that your angry "observations" were not personally motivated is clearly untrue.  Taking out your frustrations on other members and calling us smug is not the way to guarantee help in the future.

Regards,

Kim

What kind of a country is this anyway? Different areas have different rules and apply them ias they see fit.

In Alicante jurisdiction, it appears that not having had "The Padron" before 2020 automatically disqualifies anyone from obtaining residencia. So, owning a property for 20 years, improving that property, maintaining everything about it to a very high standard, having excellent banking record, bre...

...aking no laws, paying all bills, taxes etc. without fuss or delay counts for nothing.

Yet a criminal can break into a house, sell anything of value found therein, occupy it and use it as a "base" for any (usually criminal), purpose, coming and going without hindrance, pay no bills, render the place uninhabitable, yet the legal owner is virtually powerless to do anything and has no assistance from the law. Eventually, the owner may become a client of the latest "industry", paying a fee, (plus commission of course), via some nice organisation often run by known criminals.

Given that it's the most popular European country for migrants to settle from across Europe, I'd say its a pretty open and welcoming country.

If you're looking for someone to blame for the extra residency hoops then blame fellow Brits for ruining the process and the dream. Please do not blame your host.

Meanwhile, try calm down, all that anger can't be good for you in this heat.

Not just me then...when I had people living here that I was paying bills and everything for without them ever having permission, apparently I was in the wrong when I put all of their things outside my front gate, despite calling authorities twice prior to that, the cops actually told me...hey  they don't want to leave and say you owe them for the last three months of "live in work"....wow!!!
