renew padron

hi, anyone renewed padron lately, can this be done by digital certificate or best way to do it please.

We have just renewed our padron in Algorfa and to the best of my knowledge (99 % certain) has to be done in person at the Ayuntamiento. The only place I am certain to do it digitally is Guardamar and of course you have to be resident there. Maybe someone else can correct me if there are others locally

The padron is handled by every council at their discretion. It’s a night mare in Torrevieja. You can only do it on line and make an appointment. You have to be up early to get one of the possible 12 appointments per day and then it’s probably about 12 weeks to go and collect you padrón. My friends live in Los Dolses they simply go to their town hall and get one within a couple of hours. It’s really not fair.
